Mesothelioma
Stages
After a patient is
diagnosed with mesothelioma the next step is to conduct
various tests so as to find out if the cancer has
spread to various parts of the body. Determining which
stage of the mesothelioma a patient is in is very
important. It is this diagnosis that helps in planning
the treatment of a patient. There are three staging
systems currently in use for pleural mesothelioma
and each one measures somewhat different variables.
The more recent systems are TNM system and the Brigham
system.
